Nicole Kidman Planning Early Retirement?
Nicole Kidman may be following in the footsteps of Joaquin Phoenix—minus the directionally challenged, indecipherable hand scrawls, that is.
During a Sydney press conference today to promote the Down Under premiere of Australia, the Oscar winner hinted she may soon be forsaking the big screen for another round of diaper duty, or other more personal endeavors.
"In terms of my future as an actor and stuff, I don't know," the 41-year-old mother of three said. "I am in a place in my life where...I've had some great opportunities, and I may just choose to have some more children."
Talk about a mother of a calling.
Alyson Hannigan: She's in a Pregnancy Pickle
Don't mess with Alyson Hannigan and her pickles! The pregnant How I Met Your Mother star has a special craving for the snack.
"If I bring the wrong ones home, she won't touch 'em," said Hannigan's husband, actor Alexis Denisof, last night at the Best Friends Animal Society's 15th Annual Lint Roller Party in Hollywood. "It has to be the exact right ones. They're the sweet, kosher pickles. They can't be the pepper, garlic or whatever—it has to be the right one."
Denisof also revealed some baby names. Well, names they've already ruled out...

Nia Vardalos: Just Call Her "Mommy"
Congrats to My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Nia Vardalos and hubby Ian Gomez.
The happy couple are now the parents of a little girl, I can exclusively report. In an effort to maintain their privacy, the first-time mom and dad have decided only to reveal that their child—quietly adopted several months ago—is a toddler under five years old.
"They are going public now to bring attention to National Adoption Month and the 500,000 children in foster care," reads a statement released by Vardalos' rep. "Of these children, 129,000 are 'legally free' for adoption and waiting for a family."
The statement also urges folks who want to learn more to check out adoptuskids.org.
Vardalos will next be seen in two romantic comedies, including My Life in Ruins and I Hate Valentine's Day, which reunites her with her Greek Wedding costar John Corbett. She also directed the flick.
Rob Corddry Corresponds With Fatherhood
Nothing fake about this news.
Former Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry has welcomed his second child with wife Sandra, daughter Marlo Stevenson Corddry.
"Mother and daughter are doing well," the funnyman's rep, Nicole Chabot, told People.
The couple's other little girl, Sloane, is 2.
"My 2-year-old is pretty set on the name 'Freeka,' " Corddry, who's in theaters now as former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer in W., said a while back about the baby-naming process.
"She also likes 'Laura Berkner,' but that sounds weird in front of Corddry. We may just go with 'Baby the Entertainer' in case she grows up to be a black comedian."
Adam Sandler Pronounced a Father of Two
Adam Sandler brushed up on his Bedtime Stories just in time.
The funnyman and his wife, Jackie, welcomed their second daughter together last week.
"Jackie and Adam had a beautiful baby girl, Sunny Madeline, on November 2. Everyone is happy and healthy," read a statement on Sandler's website.
Sunny joins sister Sadie, 2, in the Sandler brood.
Sandler, 42, and Jackie, 34, tied the knot in 2003. The You Don't Mess With the Zohan star joked about his wife's pregnancy during a Tonight Show appearance earlier this year, telling Jay Leno how he eloquently explained the impending arrival to Sadie.
"'[Mommy] just has something growing in her that's eventually gonna shoot out her vagina and take half your toys,'" Sandler quipped.
Eagle Eye's Michelle Monaghan Hatches
Michelle Monaghan's next mission impossible: surviving an ankle biter.
The star of such films as Mission: Impossible III, Eagle Eye and Made of Honor is a first-time mommy after giving birth to a baby girl Wednesday in Los Angeles.
"They're doing great," publicist Jennifer Allen tells E! News.
Monaghan and husband Peter White named their daughter Willow Katherine White. No further details were disclosed.
Monaghan, 32, met White, a native Australian and graphic designer, at a party eight years ago and they married in 2005. She revealed she was preggers in June.
Suri Cruise Continues to Kill Us With Cuteness
For every terrifying Amy Winehouse picture, there are at least dozens of photos of Suri Cruise on a quest to bring joy to the world with her insane adorableness.
And so we just want to thank Suri for being so dedicated to the cause. She’s not afraid to use props (dolls, giraffes or, her latest addition, a ladybug umbrella, OMG!) , make funny faces or show off amazing dresses without a coat during cold New York days. All this just to make us smile while cementing her spot as a style icon.
We salute you, Suri Cruise. You are an inspiration to fashionistas everywhere, and very few things can even compare in cuteness (well, except a live puppycam).
Diddy & Pete Wentz Party for Obama
Diddy had a lot to celebrate last night—not only his 39th birthday, but Barack Obama taking the presidency as well.
"That's the only thing I wished for!" the birthday boy told E! News about Obama's big win, adding that he hopes he'll be "loving, kind" president.
So what was Diddy's party guest Pete Wentz doing in NYC when wife Ashlee's about to pop?
Gwen Stefani Officially Introduces Zuma
Yesterday Gwen Stefani was caught in the Beverly Hills library with baby Zuma in full view of all the pesky paparazzi. Realizing her baby-hiding game was up, she went ahead and posted an official picture of her 2-month-old son on No Doubt's website. So say hello to Zuma everyone; if he's anything like his older brother, Kingston, he'll be chilling with Hollywood's coolest babies in no time.
Amy Poehler's Weekend Update: A Baby Boy
Live from New York...it's a Saturday night baby.
SNL "Weekend Update" anchor Amy Poehler and her partner in wisecracking, Will Arnett, welcomed their first child just hours before showtime. Archie Arnett checked in at 8 pounds, 1 ounce.
"Mother, baby and husband are all healthy and resting comfortably," NBC said in a statement.
The birth announcement came courtesy of Poehler's "Weekend Update" tag-team partner, Seth Meyers, at the opening of the fake news segment:
"Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she's having a baby. Now here are tonight's other top stories..."

Brooke Mueller: Charlie Sheen "Thrilled" About Twins
Charlie Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller, isn't ready to reveal baby names, but she does offer up a little bit about how Sheen's feelings these days.
“He’s thrilled,” says Mueller while walking to a doctor’s appointment.
Mueller's pregnancy has not been an easy one. In September, E! News broke the story that Mueller underwent emergency gall bladder surgery during her first trimester, an operation which can be risky during the early stages of pregnancy.
"She was in severe pain for a month straight," a source close to Sheen tells E! News. "Everyone was scared that it has something to do with the baby."
Good to see her smiling now.
Caroline Welcomes a Little Rhea of Sunshine
Caroline Rhea has gone from erstwhile wacky aunt to brand-spankin'-new mama in one fell swoop.
The Sabrina, the Teenage Witch vet welcomed her first child with longtime stand-up comic boyfriend Costaki Economopoulos in New York Monday, according to People.
Daughter Ava Rhea Economopoulos tipped the scales at 8 pounds, 15 ounces and measured up at 22½ inches long.
As for that mouthful of a name, well, the parents did their best to minimize the damage.
"We wanted the shortest first name possible, since her last name is the alphabet," the 44-year-old Rhea told the magazine. "It was either that or Emmy, because I've always wanted an Emmy."
Something tells us Ava may be slightly more fulfilling in the long run.
