Jen Calls Brad "Amazing" and It's Driving Him Nuts

In the wake of Jennifer Aniston's candid Vogue interview, the man in the middle (aka Brad Pitt) has apparently decided to join the never-ending Jen vs. Angie catfight by reportedly calling Aniston and asking her to quit spilling the beans.

How to respond? By talking to Oprah, of course!

Jen sat down with the talk-show queen Wednesday (the interview airs today), and when the Vogue story came up, she very diplomatically said, "[The interviewer] asked me a question and I basically just answered it as honestly as I could."

And when the convo turned to her ex, she more than graciously responded with, "He's done some amazing things in the last couple of years. So I just think he's doing great."

Is Aniston genuinely being a good ex, or is she mouthing off because she knows it's driving Brangelina crazy?

Jennifer Aniston vs. Angelina Jolie: The Vogue Battle

We really do hope that one day in the near future, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston will be able to coexist on this planet without the need to passive-aggressively taunt each other with every celebrity profile. (Perhaps under an Obama administration?)

In the meantime, they’re not even trying, so why should we?

In interviews, Angie mentions falling in love with Brad Pitt during Mr. & Mrs. Smith; Jen calls her “uncool.” Angie goes on and on about babies, kids, more babies and knives for babies; meanwhile, Jen has a really cute dog and this tree. Angie gushes about Brad being “an amazing father: totally devoted,” but that’s all good because Jen and John Mayer totally “adore one another."

And now their Vogue covers are taking this feud to a whole new level.

Angelina Jolie: It's All About the Kids

Given the fact that Angelina Jolie is more often than not spotted with at least a few of her and Brad Pitt's six children in tow, it certainly comes as no surprise where her priorities lie.

"The center of my life is my kids," the Oscar winner tells the Los Angeles Times.

But she's quick to point out that it's not always easy having such a big brood.

"I woke up at 3 in the morning with four kids with jet lag and two babies," she says, recalling a recent trip to Hollywood. "I put myself together for a few hours and go out. And then I go home. This is my job."

Not that she's complaining, mind you.

"I don't dislike it here," insists the globe-trotter, referring to Tinseltown. "I just really do love to travel. I love other cultures. And I love raising my kids in the world. I'm so fortunate that I get to do that."

Jennifer Aniston thinks Angelina Jolie should keep her trap shut.

Aniston reveals in the December issue of Vogue that she ain't  too happy with some of Jolie's public remarks about her love affair with Brad Pitt.

Aniston complains that Jolie once went too far in outlining the exact timeline of her relationship with Pitt on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. "There was stuff printed that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston says of the Jolie interview, which appeared in Vogue about two years ago. "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss."

She continues, "That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."

Even so, Aniston insists her and Pitt's divorce was never as messy as the celeb tabloids claimed.

Angelina Jolie Gives Panda Party an Added Kick

Thanks to a Ralph Lauren black mini, Angelina Jolie's gorgeous gams got maximum exposure Sunday, and we thought it only right to share.

The stunning star took to the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollyood for the Kung Fu Panda DVD release party, where she was joined by costars Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman, who, probably wisely, opted for less-revealing outfits.

Angelina Jolie: For Your Viewing Pleasure

Angelina Jolie, Harper's Bazaar Magazine (UK) Harper's Bazaar UK

Choosing not to release any part of its Angelina Jolie interview before the magazine hits newsstands on Thursday, Harper's Bazaar UK has opted to simply unveil the cover shot instead.

Which is certainly OK with us since, given the stunning nature of this pic, they may have put out the best part of the issue anyway.

Sure, we're kind of intrigued by what Angie has to reveal in the upcoming story, but we doubt it'll be as good as what we imagine she's saying right now with that come-hither stare.

HSM3 Closes Out Fall Box Office With Win

The Wildcats rallied.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year overcame a weak Halloween night to gross $15 million for the weekend and remain atop the box office standings, per studio estimates compiled today by Exhibitor Relations.

Elsewhere, Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno enjoyed the optimal Kevin Smithian debut ($10.7 million), while the Clint Eastwood-directed Angelina Jolie mystery, Changeling, enjoyed the best theater-for-theater performance of any film in wide release ($9.4 million).

Most of the other numbers were scary.

Angelina Sneaks In to Honor Icon Eastwood

The mutual admiration society was in full force Monday night as Angelina Jolie made an unexpected appearance at the 12th Annual Hollywood Film Festival Awards Gala to honor her Changeling director, Clint Eastwood.

"There are some people in this business who are icons, and we often wonder if, when we meet them, they'll live up to what we imagine them to be," Jolie said from the stage upon her surprise arrival.

"And Clint Eastwood in person is better," she said, adding, "Clint is what every great director should be. He is a great leader, and I certainly would follow him anywhere."

How Can I Write to Angelina Jolie?

With so much gay talent in Hollywood, why aren't more people opposing Prop. 8?
—Matthew, Berkeley

For the same reason that most celebrities don't endorse or oppose anything. As much as celebrity stumping annoys the Real America, far more stars stay out of the political arena than jump into it. When Chace Crawford starts spouting off about farm animal cruelty, call me. Meantime, you'll have to settle for Brad Pitt and Spielberg and Molly Ringwald and Ellen, all of whom have officially spoken out against the California initiative, which would ban same-sex marriage.

Troy Bolton, Jigsaw Big Men at Box Office

That was one diverse crowd at the multiplex.

The sunny, G-rated High School Musical 3: Senior Year and the beyond-dark, R-rated Saw V came together to gross a combined $72 million for a blockbuster weekend box office that included a strong debut for the Angelina Jolie true-story thriller Changeling.

HSM3 ruled the school, and the standings, with $42 million—the best opening ever for a movie musical, Disney said. Saw V carved out a $30.5 million debut for a second-place finish that would have been a first-place finish in any other weekend this fall.

All together, Troy Bolton and Jigsaw helped Hollywood buck the worldwide economic crisis yet again.

How'd they do it?

Angelina Globe-Trots for Good in Afghanistan

Angelina Jolie FAME Pictures

Angelina Jolie has boldly—and conscientiously—gone where no Jolie-Pitt has gone before.

And that's saying something.

The Oscar winner and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador wrapped up her first ever trip to Afghanistan Thursday after spending two days touring the region, meeting with Afghan natives and raising awareness of the country's growing problem of reintegrating returning refugees.

"The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best," Jolie said.

"Depleted" Angelina Turned to Guns, Action Movies

"I was depleted. I was in a state of just wanting to pull the covers over my head and cry about my mom. It was just too much. For me, there have been times when an action movie, even a Tomb Raider, has helped me get out of myself and be physical again. It's like therapy."
